Teen Improv!

Come to the Teen Summer Reading program kickoff Comedy Show with the Marshmallow Masquers. This hilarious comedy improv group keeps the crowd laughing while inviting teen performers on stage to join in the fun. Become a comedy star or just enjoy the show – no pressure to participate. Students going into grades 6 through 12 (and their families) are invited to laugh along with us. Call 285-1918 with questions or to reserve seats for this free show.
Music as Poetry (Parts I & II)

Have you ever heard a song that sounded like it was written just for you? The right lyrics reach us in a way nothing else can. During our Music as Poetry program, you will listen, discuss, and write your own music-worthy poetry with the help of a special guest librarian, writer, and musician: Ms. Derrith Green. This program is open to students going into grades 7-12.

Library Wrap
Open Mural Studio

10:30 - 11:30 AM
Help create a gigantic mural to wrap the outside of the whole library. Drop-in and add your drawing to our work in progress. The library will be wrapped on August 19 between 6-8 PM á la Christo the famous American environmental artist. Bring a roll of gaffers tape if you want to help. Rain date is August 21.

Bring your snacks and keep cool while you watch movies that showcase how people
express themselves through music and dance. Drop-in for any or all of these free movies.

Ice Cream Finale!

This delicious event will take place at the main branch of the WPL, and will include games, prize drawings, and (of course) Ice Cream! For students entering grades 6-12 who participated in the WPL Teen Summer Reading Program. Please register in advance by calling or stopping by.
