    Is your teen getting ready for his or her first year of college? Are you considering going back to school? Do you have questions that need answers? We strongly encourage parents and teens to attend this special one-time event. W. Tom Polowy (a representative of Valark Financial Services) will lead a helpful and informative discussion, share a detailed digital presentation for parents and teens, and offer insight on how we can plan and pay for college tuition.     This is a new take on an old favorite! We’ve got a ton of new and classic board games, adult coloring materials, a Wii, an Xbox, and even a Super NES and an Atari! Challenge your friends to a game of GIANT JENGA, throw down on some Fortnite, and revisit retro classics like Yoshi’s Island, Super Punch-Out, and the O.G. Super Mario Kart. If you and your friends feel like chilling, grabbing some snacks after school, and getting your game on – the library is the place for you! As always, you will also have first dibs on all the newest YA materials for teens in grades 6–12. What’s better than that?!   • Understanding Video Game Addiction

    Are you a gamer who thinks that video games get a bad rap? Are you a parent worried that your kid is spending too many hours glued to their screens? Are you a teen who loves Fortnite and Destiny and just wants to figure out why people think this is all such a big deal? Our program is perfect for all of you! Join Nadja Streiter LMSW, a Clinical Social Worker and Therapist from the Center for Internet and Technology Addiction, for a superb digital presentation followed by an open Q&A session. Discuss the details of gaming addiction, familiarize yourself with healthy gaming habits, and learn about one of today’s most controversial topics.
