If the Windsor Library does not own an item that you want, we can request that item to be sent to us from another library.

We can search in the Greater Hartford area, all of Connecticut, other states, and even Canada.

If you are interested in using our Interlibrary Loan Service, please be aware that we charge a small fee:

$2 for searching within Connecticut
$5 for searching outside of Connecticut

You can specify where you would like us to search, in or out of state, or both.

Please be as thorough as possible with the information you provide. For example, we require a full title, and full name of the author if you can provide it. Also, if applicable, be very specific with volume numbers, or perhaps you require a certain edition of a book. We need to know that, too.

Remember that the process takes a minimum of 10 days. If you need the item before that time, please call the Reference Desk at 285-1918, and we can find alternative resources for you.
