This summer we will be working closely with Windsor Schools to promote summer reading.

  • Be sure to sign up at the library for programs and to earn a book prize.
  • List the books you’ve read on the book log from your school.
  • Read 10 books and receive a “book prize”.
  • Listeners (non-readers) must listen to 20 books to receive a “book prize”.
  • Show us your book log to receive a book prize coupon. Come to our Wrap it Up Party on August 19 to pick out your “book prize”.
  • We have extra book logs for whoever needs one.

In addition to all the amazing reading and fabulous creative opportunities you’ll have at your library this summer we will be creating a 3 foot high mural that is over two football fields long. Then we’ll have an ice cream sundae party and wrap our library building in the giant mural, created by the children and adults at the library, á la Christo the famous American environmental artist. It’s just our way of letting the community know just how creative you and your libraries are. So be sure to stop by and make your mark on this special project. There will be plenty of structured mural programs with painting, stamping, sponging, etc. and lots of open studio time, too.  As always, thanks to the Windsor Library Association for their generous support.
