The purpose of the Windsor Public Library’s Makerspace is to provide an environment that encourages creativity, collaboration, inspiration, teaching, and learning.

You will be asked to sign a waiver to use the space because of the risk involved with some of the equipment and supplies.

Adobe Creative Cloud

What is it and what does it do?
The Adobe Creative Cloud includes  20+ different apps for creating visual and digital content.

Book Binding Machine

What is it and what does it do?
A book binding machine helps you punch and bind up reports, files, and essays efficiently.
Specifications:
It punches up to 15 sheets and binds up to 200 sheets
Adjust from 1-21 punching holes

Button Maker

What is it and what does it do?
This semi-automatic, tabletop machine makes 2 1/4″ buttons or magnets.
Specifications: 
Makes 2 1/4” size button
Produces up to 300 buttons per hour
Includes access to the 2 1/4″ Automatic Cut-A-Circle, a fully-automatic machine that makes high-quality 2 1/4″ cuts. Features adjustable blade depth for different paper thickness.
 
Perfect for: 
Publicity and awareness for non-profit, civic, or community organizations, fundraising,  party favors, custom buttons.
User guidelines: 
Users are welcome to unlimited use of the machine if they provide their own take-away materials (button/magnet supplies). Users are welcome to use button or magnet materials supplied by the library for up to 5 buttons/magnets per month. At this time, there is no charge for the use of these materials; this charge may be subject to change.

Cricut Machine

What is it and what does it do? 
A Cricut is an electronic cutting machine. It cuts, scores, and draws on a variety of materials.

What is it and what does it do?

Embroidery Machine

What is it and what does it do?
The Brother PE770 is an embroidery-only machine.
Specifications:

The PRUSA i3 MK3 3D Printer prints objects in plastic.
Specifications: 
Build plate is 9.84 x 8.3 x 8.3 inches
Wide range of thermoplastics, including PLA, PETG, ASA, ABS, PC (Polycarbonate), CPE, PVA/BVOH, PVB, HIPS, PP (Polypropylene), Flex, nGen, Nylon, Carbon filled, Woodfill and other filled materials.
PLA colors include: Black, white, gray, red, orange, yellow, green, blue, purple, brown, beige, translucent green, translucent red, translucent blue, photochromatic blue, photochromatic pink, and glow in the dark
Acceptable file types include: .thing, .makerbot, .stl, .skp

Prototypes, replacement parts, inventions, science projects, etc.
User Guidelines: 
To use this machine please contact Librarian Cailey Klasson. Because of the high demand, users are welcome to use of the machine up to 10 hours a month. The library can in no way guarantee the time frame for any project. The library is not responsible for the functionality or quality of content produced on the 3D printer. Completed print jobs will have the supports and raft left on. At this time, there is no charge for the use of these materials; this charge may be subject to change.
