Origami for Beginners

Origami is the Japanese art of paper folding. "Ori" means "fold" and "kami" means "paper." On Saturday, April 27 from 1:00 PM - 2:00 PM, Windsor resident and origami enthusiast, Joel Ferola will teach you how to create a 3-D paper box, paper cranes, and other simple folding techniques. Choose Privacy Week Movie

How secure are your privacy settings online? Do you know where you stand in the age of surveillance and digital hacking? Join us at the Wilson Branch Library Monday, May 6 from 5:00  to 7:00 pm for a screening of three short Choose Privacy Week documentaries, followed by discussion. 

Wilson Branch Playgroup

Introduce your child to the library by attending the Wilson Branch Library’s Playgroup from 10:45 to 11:30 am every Wednesday. Attendees will socialize with other children, play with toys, sing songs and listen to stories. This drop-in program is for children ages 0 to 5 and their parents/caregivers

Wilson Branch Library Tutoring Program

This is a free program designed to give students extra help and practice in the areas of math, reading, writing and general homework.  A volunteer tutor works one-on-one with a child in grades 1-8. The program usually begins the first week of October and ends on Memorial Day.

Teen Thursday

Teen Thursdays at the Wilson Branch means teens take over the children’s room with games, activities and snacks. Stop by Thursday, April 25 & May 9 from 4:00 to 5:00 pm. Ages 12-18.

Calling all Crafters!

Are you a closet crafter or one who is proud to wield a glue gun and brandish a knitting needle? Either way, join the Wilson Crafters! The group meets every Thursday morning from 11:00 am – 12:00 pm. Join this wonderful, creative group to make new friends, learn some new techniques, and to work on any craft you have in process. Call 860-247-8960 for details.

All Wilson Branch Library events


The Wilson Branch has 12 public computers with internet access, Microsoft Office and printing capability.

Patrons may print from the public computers to our copier for $.20 per side in black and white and $.50 per side in color. Copies can be made for the same price.

Laptops can be configured to print by following the instructions laid out here.


There is a self-service multi-page scanner available for public use at the circulation desk. It can send scans straight to an email address or USB flash drive. There is no cost to use the public scanner.

Faxing to anywhere in the U.S. is available at the circulation desk. The cost is $1.95 for the first page, $1.00 for each additional page. The library provides patrons with a complimentary cover sheet, which is sent with the fax at no additional cost.

Stamps & Envelopes

Postage stamps and business envelopes are available for sale at the circulation desk. We charge the USPS rate for postage stamps (currently $.55). Envelopes cost $.20 each. There is a limit of 10 stamps per customer.
