Artist-in-Residence Program

About the Program

Right here at the library, local artists working in a variety of mediums are invited to set up their workspace in the main library lobby and offer patrons the unique opportunity to experience art as it is being created.

Each artist will host an artist reception held in the library. The library will feature each local artist over the course of the month including three different live demonstrations to expose patrons to the creative process in real time. An art show will be on display in our Meeting Room Artspace. Some items may be for sale.

Artists receive a modest stipend through grant funding from the Connecticut State Library.
