Passports & Travel

You may apply for a new passport at Windsor Public Library. Applications are accepted through appointments only. Please see for complete details and requirements. If you are interested in making an appointment, please call 860-285-1910.

We will provide all the paperwork. Passport photos can be taken at CVS. Passport photos are regulated by the law, so they need to fit legal requirements

We can only do new passports at Windsor Library, not renewals. Passport renewals are done by mail with form DS-82.

What to Bring:

Long-Form Birth Certificate, Naturalization Certificate or other form of Citizenship Evidence (read more here)

One color 2″ by 2″ photo (legal requirements)

A valid photo identification (such as driver’s license) with a front and back photocopy of the ID (read more here)

Personal check or money order for payment of the passport fee

Passports for Minors:

Minors under age 16 cannot apply for a passport by themselves. Both parents/guardians must appear in person and provide consent, authorizing passport issuance to the minor. If one parent/guardian is unable to appear in person, then the application must be accompanied by a signed, notarized Form DS-3053: Statement of Consent from the non-applying parent/guardian.
