The IRS’s Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program offers free basic tax return preparation to qualified individuals. The VITA program has operated for over 50 years.
VITA sites offer free tax help to people who need assistance in preparing their own tax returns, including: People who generally make $60,000 or less, persons with disabilities, and limited English-speaking taxpayers.
The Windsor Public Library will have VITA on site for appointments on Monday evenings from 5:00 to 8:00 pm Monday, February 6 through Monday, April 17 (excluding Monday, February 20 which is President’s Day).
Appointments are required. Appointments will be at 5:00 PM, 6:00 PM, and 7:00 PM. Based on the VITA volunteers we have, we will only have 4 appointments per hour.
To schedule, you can click on the links below or call the Reference Desk at 860-285-1918 who can help you make an appointment.
