World Migratory Bird Day is celebrated twice each year: on the second Saturday in May when birds return to their nesting sites and again on the second Saturday in October, when birds travel to their non-breeding grounds.
Join us on Saturday, May 8 from 11:00 AM - 12:00 PM for a Birding 101 workshop. In this 60-min workshop, we will learn about birds and how to identify them. Together, we will explore the ways scientists study birds and some important research questions they attempt to answer. We will also learn ways to can get involved in collecting citizen science data that can be available to scientists worldwide. Presented by the Connecticut Audubon Society's Greater Hartford Education Outreach Program.
